The 2015 season marks Coach Heater’s fourth year at the helm of Fontbonne's women’s volleyball program. The Griffins are consistently improving and this season looks even better. SLIAC competition looks tight after the Coaches Preseason Poll, which the Griffins' pulled an estimated sixth-place finish.

In 2014, Fontbonne finished 7-11 in SLIAC play and 13-18 overall. The Griffins only lost one starter to graduation and are excited to have seven returners along with seven newcomers competing for play time.

Coach Heater came to Fontbonne in 2012 with 4 years experience as a head coach, most recently at Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey, Illinois. At Lewis and Clark, Heater led the program to the region final four tournament twice for the first time in school history, and finished each season with 20 plus wins.

Prior to her time at Lewis and Clark, Heater served as head coach at Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville, Illinois. During her four years experience, she has coached 5 all-region players and 11 all-conference players.

In addition to her NJCAA experience, Coach Heater comes to Fontbonne with valuable NCAA Div. III experience. Coach Heater served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Greenville College from 2006-2007. She also played her collegiate volleyball career at Greenville.

Coach Heater resides in Troy, Illinois with her husband John and their four kids John, Morgan, Kendall, and Ace.
