This will be Amond Prater's fifth year assisting with the Griffins. Prater is a graduate of McEachern High School (Powder Springs, Ga) where he was three-sport athlete most notably in wrestling. Prater was a 2002 5A state wrestling champion and went on to wrestle at the University of Missouri earning letters and awards as the 2005 Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year.
After earning his bachelor’s degree from Mizzou Prater went on to be an assistant coach in wrestling and girls volleyball at Fox High School in Arnold, MO. Amond earned his Masters of Arts in Teaching from Missouri Baptist University.
Amond is a 2010 ADFPF 90 Kg Powerlifting National Champion and a 2012 ADFPF 82.5kg Single Event Deadlift and Bench Press National Champion. He works as a personal trainer at ATT Evolution and specializes in youth fitness as a certified strength and conditioning coach, speed and agility specialist, as well as youth nutrition specialist.
Amond is married to Krystal Prater and has one daughter Aryn.
