ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Fontbonne University women's basketball team wrapped up their final season at home today.
The Griffins end the season with a 3-19 overall record and 3-14 in SLIAC play.
Fontbonne dropped the contest to Eureka, 73-59.
Piper Fitzgerald led the team with 17 points, going 6-for-7 from the field and 5-for-6 from deep.
Brianna Beamer added 15 points, three rebounds and three assists.
Ja'msie Bailey had 14 points and five boards.
Sam Foppe scored 11 points, pulled down nine boards and dished in six assists.
Fontbonne shot 42 percent from the field, 38 percent from deep and 58 percent from the foul-line. Eureka shot 45 percent from the field, 27 percent from deep and 50 percent from the foul-line.
Fontbonne fell to Webster, 102-52.
Bailey recorded a double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds, reaching 500 career rebounds.
Beamer scored 11 points. Foppe pulled down 10 boards and scored eight points.
Fitzgerald added six points and six rebounds.
Fontbonne shot 25 percent from the field, 11 percent from deep and 55 percent from the foul-line. Webster shot 47 percent from the field, 38 percent from deep and 73 percent from the foul-line.
