MLC releases 2015 Preseason Coaches Poll
Waukesha, Wis. - The Midwest Lacrosse Conference announced today its 2015 Preseason Coaches Poll. The Griffins, who return six players from last year's squad have been picked sixth of seven teams. It looks as those the Griffins will fight closely with MSOE, whom Fontbonne defeated last season. Fontbonne will rely on freshman goalkeeper Seth Yance (Kenosha, Wis./Harborside Academy) and senior midfielder Joey Mirth (Hazelwood, Mo./Hazelwood Central) to guide the Griffins throughout the season.
Reigning regular season and tournament champion Aurora University was picked as the preseason favorite. The Spartans made it to the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament, ultimately falling to Denison 11-8.
Concordia Wis. was chosen to finish second with Benedictine rounding out the third spot.
