Griffins run in National Catholic Invite for second year in a row

South Bend, Ind. - Fontbonne University participated in the National Catholic Invite held on the campus of Notre Dame College this afternoon for the second year in a row.

In his first collegiate meet, freshman Austin Lawrence ran a 35:35.7 five-mile race while senior Chris Graham 39:59.50 minutes.

Once again Senior Jennie Stare led the women's team. Sarah Rhoads, Katie Gosser, Colleen Gosser and Jaylah Jones finished in their respective order. It was the three freshmen's first collegiate 5k.

The Griffins will prepare for two weeks before they participate in the Greater Louisville Classic on October 1st. There, Fontbonne will gear up for the SLIAC Championships at the end of October, also held at E. P. Tom Sawyer State Park.
