Women's Volleyball at UHSP and Iowa Wesleyan Preview

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University women’s volleyball team hits the road twice this week facing University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy on Tuesday, followed by Iowa Wesleyan on Wednesday, and will return home on Saturday against Eureka.

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University women's volleyball team hits the road twice this week facing University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy on Tuesday, followed by Iowa Wesleyan on Wednesday, and will return home on Saturday against Eureka.

A Look At Fontbonne

  • The Griffins are coming off a tough three-set loss against Webster on Saturday.
  • The team finished with a season-low .092 hitting percentage.
  • Jadyn Fitzgerald and Hannah Gallagher led with a game-high 11 kills. Gallagher recorded her third double-double with 13 digs.
  • Emma Pramik posted a team-high 14 digs.
  • In the SLIAC, the Griffins rank first in kills (149), first in assists (135), second in kills per set (12.42), second in assists per set (11.25), third in hitting percentage (.149), and third in digs (16.17).
  • Individually, Gallagher and Fitzgerald are 1-2 in both kills per set with Gallagher leading 3.67, while Fitzgerald is right behind her at 3.25. Overall Gallagher has 44 kills and Fitzgerald accumulated 39 thus far.
  • Abby Grumich is second in the SLIAC averaging 9.44 assists per set, while Ella Werner stands in fifth at 6.40.
  • Pramik ranks third in the SLIAC with 47 digs.

 

A Look At UHSP

  • The Eutectics got its season going in the Fall of 2020 and went 8-8 overall.
  • This will be the first game for them since November 10th.
  • The Eutectics average 10.84 kills per set and a .150 hitting percentage.
  • Lauren Brown leads overall totaling 146 kills and a .196 hitting percentage.
  • Teammate Cassady Reno is right behind her with 144 kills and a team-high .319 hitting percentage.
  • Setter Kacie Kinnikin averages 5.40 assists per set.
  • Defensively, the Eutectics average 16.82 digs per set led by Aubree Mann with 211 digs (3.84 d/s).

 

A Look At Iowa Wesleyan

  • After starting the season with a sweep over Eureka, the Tigers have been swept in its last two contests against Greenville and Spalding.
  • Through three games, the tigers average 7.67 kills per set and a .036 hitting percentage.
  • Malieokekai DaMate owns a team-high 21 kills.
  • Anna Leidl hands out 3.44 assists per set.
  • Defensively, the Tigers come away with 20.67 digs per set and are led by Jenna Murphy's team-high 55 digs (6.11 d/s).
