Women's Volleyball Releases Its 2019 Schedule

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The 2019 women's volleyball schedule is out as the Griffins will have its eyes set on earning a spot in the SLIAC Tournament.

Last season, the Griffins finished fifth in the SLIAC after posting a 9-16 overall mark and going 8-10 in conference play.

This year, the team begins play at the end of August with a four-game set to be played at WashU. On August 30^th, the team opens with WashU and Webster. They'll close out the tournament the next day against North Park and Cornell.

The team will have its home opener on September 7^th when NAIA school, Avila University, comes to town for a 12 p.m., and 4 p.m., contest.

After stints against Illinois College, St. Louis College of Pharmacy, and St. Mary-of-the-Woods, the Griffins first conference outing will be on September 24^th against Eureka on the road. Its first home conference match will be the following night against Westminster.

The team will close out September all on the road against Eureka, Greenville, and Blackburn over a two-day stretch. From there, the Griffins have six home dates and will have some tough road contests from the 24^th through the 30^th where they'll face Principia, Webster, Westminster, and Webster once more to finish out the month.

In November, the team heads to Webster for a quad against Iowa Wesleyan and Eureka to finish out the year before the SLIAC Tournament.
