Women's Soccer Releases Its 2019 Schedule
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University women’s soccer team has released its 2019 schedule this afternoon.
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University women's soccer team has released its 2019 schedule this afternoon.
Last year, the team finished 11-6-2 overall and 8-1 in conference play. The Griffins entered the SLIAC Tournament as the No. 2 seed and took on No. 3-seeded Westminster. Fontbonne, though fell 3-2 in penalty kicks to conclude its season.
This season, the team will head to Memphis, Tenn., at the end of August to begin its 2019 year when they'll take on Ozarks (Aug. 30) and host Rhodes (Sept. 1).
From there, the team will return home for a four game set against the likes of Transylvania (Sept. 7), St. Thomas (Sept. 8), St. Louis College of Pharmacy (Sept. 10), and Hendrix (Sept. 15).
After its stint at home, the Griffins will head on the road for seven games, including starting off conference play on the road in October against Spalding (Oct. 5) and Greenville (Oct. 9).
The teams first home conference outing will take place on Oct. 12th when Iowa Wesleyan comes to town. They'll close out the regular season after that with three home games and three on the road. Senior Day will take place on November 2nd against Eureka.
