Galesburg, Ill. - Fontbonne women's soccer dropped a 1-0 game in overtime to an undefeated Knox College Prairiefire.
Senior goalkeeper Tayler Pulvirenti saved eight shots to send the game into overtime after the Griffins failed to score on six attempts. The Prairiefire shot 17 total times compared to the Griffins' seven and held a 7-2 corner kick advantage as well.
Fontbonne returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 24th at Evangel University in Springfield, Mo. before opening conference play at Spalding University next Saturday.
