Redohl Earns SLIAC Defensive Player of the Week Honors

St. Louis, Mo. - Fontbonne women's soccer freshman Maddie Redohl has earned St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors for the week of October 27, 2014.

Redohl anchored the back line as the Griffins shutout Greenville and Spalding last week. Greenville was limited to just two shots in a 1-0 overtime win for Fontbonne. Against Spalding, Redohl matched up with the Golden Eagle's top striker and the conference's leading scoreer, as Fontbonne won 1-0.

Saturday's win against Spalding put Fontbonne 15-2-1 on the season and remain undefeated in SLIAC play (7-0). The 15th win ties the program record for most wins in a single season.

The Griffins return to the pitch on Tuesday as they host Westminster College at 6pm. Before the game, Fontbonne will honor their four seniors in their final regular season home game.
