Jacksonville, Ill. - Fontbonne women's soccer saw their undefeated record come to an end last night as Illinois College scored in the 80th minute for the 1-0 Griffin loss. Fontbonne is now 4-1 on the season.
The goal came from a 25-yard free kick. Illinois College totaled just two more shots than Fontbonne and only one more shot-on-goal in the tight game. The Griffins managed six corner kick opportunities as the Lady Blues only had three.
Fontbonne goalkeeper Tayler Pulvirenti saved two shots on the evening.
The Griffins return home and begin a six-game home stand this Sunday, September 14th against Simpson College. Game time is set to begin at 1pm.
