Pierce takes home Mary Schoendienst Award

May 16, 2011 - Fontbonne University junior midfielder Mary Alice Pierce took home the Mary Schoendienst Award at Friday night's Griffin Athletic Banquet. This award is presented to the best female athlete in the Fontbonne athletic department.

Pierce, a three-year starter for the women's lacrosse team, set a new school records for most goals in a season with 45 and most caused turnovers with 20 this year. Pierce finished the season with 47 points while taking home Second Team All-MWLC honors. Pierce also played on the women's tennis team.
