Freshman Samantha Voegtle scores career high against North Park University

St. Louis- Today the Griffins fall to 2-3 on the season after losing to unbeaten North Park University (7-0) 48-70.

Missed shots plagued both teams as the first jumper was made 2 minutes after play started. Tied 4-4 with 15 minutes left in the 1st half, North Park would go on to score 12 unanswered points in 4 minutes of play to jump start their win. With 15 minutes left in the 2nd half, senior Allison Hogan completed a jump shot to get the Griffins back in the game, trailing only by 6 pionts. The Vikings went on to score another 8 unanswered points, sealing the lead and the victory.

Freshman forward Samantha Voegtle was the most aggressive Griffin performer on the day. Voegtle grabbed 9 rebounds and shot 6-9 from the field. Leading the Griffins in offense today, Voetgle netted a career high 13 points against the Vikings.

Nicole Krukman recorded 19 points and 10 rebounds during today's game. She was the only player to record a double-double during the game.
