Strickland Named SLIAC Pitcher Of The Week

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—After picking up her first win on the season, Fontbonne University softball pitcher, Maddy Strickland, has been named St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Pitcher of the Week.

Against Iowa Wesleyan, Strickland allowed just one run on three hits and struck out five over the 7.0 innings of work. She's now up to a team-high 28 strikeouts on the season and lowered her ERA down to 6.17.

The Griffins return to action this Friday against Illinois College at ABC Park. First-pitch is set for 1 p.m.
