Softball volunteers at CAASTLC
Facepainting and arts and crafts a touch of service from Fontbonne to the annual CASSTLC Job Fair
St. Louis, Mo. - Fontbonne University softball spent a Saturday in November entertaining children at one of the Community Action Agency of St. Louis County's (CAASTL) fairs. During the event, children's activities such as farm animals, face painting and crafts are provided to make it a fun and educational experience for the entire family. The Griffins turn out each year to help with these children's activities while their parents are educated on home life.
The team was also recruited to volunteer their craft-making skills at a future event for the Crisis Nursery, however the December ice storm caused implications for safe travel.

CAASTLC conducts a series of community resource fairs each year throughout St. Louis County. The purpose is to educate low-income families on how to save on utility bills, how to make their home more energy efficient, how to enroll in the Affordable Care Act insurance and how to purchase a home. A variety of vendors such as banks, utility companies, health service providers, and non-profit agencies participate to provide a wealth of information for families all in one place. CAASTLC serves over 25,000 unduplicated low-income County residents each year.
