Softball Alumni Game a Success
St. Louis- It was a lovely evening for Softball's 6th annual Alumni game! Over 100 fans crowded the stands on both sides of the field. Tim Miller brought the play by play live and WE squeaked by the Alumni for a 9-8 win according to the scoreboard.
It was a ton of fun, former coach Big Mel Richardson handling the BBQ and legend Lil Mel Pinkley coaching the Alum on the Griffins' home field, which is also named after him. Roughly 15 alumni were in attendance and several brought their families and new additions. It was awesome to just sit back and watch. The players appreciate the alum coming out to compete with them and having a little fun in the dirt.
The 2012 Griffin team was awarded their Conference and Conference Tournament Championship watch (pictured); their 4th year in a row.
The Alumni in attendance included Diana Pinkley Reynolds, Irene Schodrowski, Taylor Rosner, Samantha Rosner, Kristen Lommel Bollier, Katie Schirmer Bierman, Brittany Kirn, Amanda Beaver, Cassandra Bremer, Katy Mueller Billings, Annie Dillinger, Alyssa Akers, Amy Simon, Rachel McCarthy.
Thanks to all for making it another successful event.
