Jimmy Stika Recipient Of AVCA 30 Under 30 Award

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—Last week, the AVCA released the 30 under 30 recipients and head men's volleyball coach Jimmy Stika was one of the 30 winners.

In two seasons at the helm of the men's volleyball program, Coach Stika has led the Griffins to two MCVL Regular Season Titles and an NCAA Tournament appearance. He was named the 2022 MCVL Co-Coach of the Year, and is currently 39-10 overall.

The awards program, created in 2009, honors up-and-coming coaches at all levels of volleyball—college, high school, and club—and the recipients serve in a range of roles, from head coach to volunteer assistant to club director. Nominees had to be younger than 30 years old in 2021 to qualify for the award. The announcement of the AVCA High School Thirty Under 30 will follow this fall.
