Men's Volleyball Holds Top Spot In MCVL Preseason Poll
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) released its 2021 Preseason Poll and the Griffins are picked to finish first.
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) released its 2021 Preseason Poll and the Griffins are picked to finish first.
This is the second straight year the Griffins are picked to finish first in the MCVL Preseason Poll. Fontbonne six of the nine available first-place votes. They were followed by Mount Union, while Mt. St. Joseph and Adrian tied for third. Wittenberg held down fifth and Trine, Baldwin-Wallace, Olivet, and Wabash rounded out the field.
The Griffins look to not miss a beat as they return most of its 2020 roster, including four of its All-Conference players in Zach Rothstein, who also won MCVL Defensive Player of the Year, Kyler van Rossum-O'Connell (First Team), Cameron Graves (First Team), and Braden Woolsey (Second Team).
The team brought on four newcomers in Ryan Lively, Alex Gantt, Joseph Huster, and Andrew Randolph that look to make an impact right away in 2021.
The team gets its 2021 season underway on January 31st when they'll visit Olivet for a doubleheader matchup starting at 10 a.m.
