Friss named MLC Offensive Player of the Week

St. Louis- Fontbonne University men's lacrosse freshman Brendan Friss (Mooresville, NC/Mooresville) has been named as the Midwest Lacrosse Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the week of February 24th.

Friss and the Griffins posted a 1-1 record last week, falling 9-8 against NCAA Div. II opponent Rockhurst University and defeated the University of Dubuque 13-4 on Sunday.

Friss scored three goals in the loss against Rockhurst and four goals with one assist in the win against Dubuque. Friss netted seven goals in all, while accumulating 12 groundballs over the two games, averaging 3.5 goals and 6.0 ground balls per game, while leading the Griffins with a .579 shot on goal percentage.

Fontbonne is scheduled to play Beloit this week and Hendrix this weekend, weather permitting.
