Men's Golf Holds Down Second Place After Two Rounds Of The SLIAC Tournament

PEORIA, Ill.—After two rounds of play, the Fontbonne University men's golf team stands in second place at the SLIAC Championship after totaling a 56-over par 632.

How It Happened

Webster University currently holds down the top spot after 36-holes as they scored a 12-over par. Westminster College hit an 80-over par for third, while Iowa Wesleyan is in fourth at 94-over par.

Individually, Will Hocker (Webster) leads the field after scoring a 2-under par 142 (69-73). Fontbonne, meanwhile, has the duo of Sam Kaminski (75-81) and Matt Rapisardo (80-76) both tied for sixth at 12-over par 156.

On the day, Kaminski totaled four birdies, while Rapisardo compiled a three-birdie performance. However, on the front nine in round two, he had solid round of 1-under par.

Cory Harrison is the next Griffin on the leaderboard after he shot a 13-over par 157 (79-78) for eighth place. Harrison drained three birdies on the day, including in round one, scoring an even-par on the front nine.

Playing as an individual, Carson King is tied for 10^th after he turned in his scorecard with a 16-over par 160 (80-80). King hit one birdie on the afternoon and on the back nine in round one he limited himself to just one bogey.

Paul Henderson, meanwhile, is three-strokes behind him at 19-over par 163 (79-84) for a 15^th place tie. Henderson made the turn towards round two at 7-over par. There, he hit birdies on holes one and three on the front nine. He concluded round two at 12-over.

Will Pruden finished the day with a 26-over par 170 (84-86) for 21^st place. Pruden totaled one birdies on the day and fared well on the front nine of round one with just a 2-over par 38.
