Men's Golf Earns Third Place Finish At The McNaughton Invite

JACKSONVILLE, Ill.—The Fontbonne University men's golf team was in action today at the McNaughton Invite for a one-day event and the Griffins finished in third place at 23-over par 311.

How It Happened

Illinois Central won overall with an 11-over par 299. North Central finished just ahead of the Griffins at 18-over par 306, while Illinois College closed out in fourth at 24-over par 322.

Individually, Isaac Ingold (Illinois Central) was the lone player under-par after scoring a 3-under 69. Carson King and Will Pruden each tied at 5-over par 77 for 11^th place.  King led the Griffins with three birdies on the day, while Pruden registered one birdie, four bogeys and one double-bogey.

Matt Rapisardo shot a 6-over par 78, including draining two birdies, while Satchel Conroy ended the day at 7-over par 79 for 18^th place.

Cory Harrison, who earned a top-10 finish this past weekend, turned in an 8-over par 80 to finish out the McNaughton Invite in 22^nd. Mike Maloney, meanwhile, who played as an individual, scored a 22-over par 94.
