WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. – The Fontbonne University men's basketball team saw their season come to an end in the SLIAC Tournament Quarterfinals as they took a 73-68 loss to the Webster University Gorloks.
The Griffins ended the season with an 8-18 overall record and 7-11 in SLIAC play.
Charles Nelson led the floor with 28 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals.
Kaden Augustine scored 12 points and pulled down eight boards.
Casey Crowley and Jordan Lewis each scored eight points. Crowley went 3-for-3 from deep while Lewis had seven boards.
Kendall Horton and Logan Irby each scored six points. Horton added five rebounds, five steals and four assists, while Irby had three boards and two blocks.
Fontbonne shot 34 percent from the field, 33 percent from deep and 85 percent from the foul-line. Webster shot 37 percent from the field, 29 percent from deep and 54 percent from the foul-line.
Webster will take on the No. 2-seeded Spalding in the Semifinals of the SLIAC Tournament on Friday at Greenville.
