Men’s Basketball Picked Fifth in SLIAC Preseason Poll

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Fontbonne University men's basketball team was picked to finish fifth in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Preseason Poll, announced the conference office this Thursday.

The Griffins received 39 votes and one first-place vote.

The program finished last season with a 20-8 overall record and 13-5 in conference play. Their season came to an end in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Trine, the national champions.

Last year, the program won the SLIAC Regular Season Title for the third year in a row as well as the SLIAC Tournament Defending Champions.

Fontbonne opens their season at home on Tuesday, November 26 with a SLIAC game versus Principia. Their schedule features 26 games with 10 at home and one scrimmage.
