Greenlee named earlaustinjr.com Area Colleges Player of the Week

Jared Greenlee was named the earlaustinjr.com's Area Colleges Player of the Week for this week (February 10, 2015). Earlaustinjr.com is a website devoted to basketball in the St. Louis region.  The Area Colleges Player of the Week distinction encompasses play for all college teams, men and women, in the St. Louis region. The 6'5″ junior forward from Strafford, MO has been on a roll in leading the Griffins on a five-game winning streak. Greenlee is averaging 17 points and nine rebounds during that five-game stretch.

Greenlee had 20 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals in Fontbonne's 80-55 victory over Principia. Had added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the Griffins 71-68 victory at Greenville. Greenlee also had 20 point efforts against Spalding and Eureka. He added 14 rebounds in that 64-42 victory over Eureka.

For the season, Greenlee is averaging 13.5 points and 7.6 rebounds while shooting 54 percent from the field. Fontbonne is currently 8-5 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) and 9-11 overall.
