Rock Island, Ill. - No. 1-ranked Augustana College (Ill.) overtook Fontbonne men's basketball Saturday night 116-62. The Vikings defeated NCAA Division I Bradley University in an exhibition game earlier this season.
Augustana scored 17 straight points in the first four minutes to open the game. At halftime, Fontbonne was down 33-60.
Jared Greenlee was the only Griffins to score in double-digits as he secured 10 points for the Griffins.
Seven Vikings scored 10 or more points while noone recorded double-doubles.
Fontbonne will settle down this week and focus on Saturday's home matchup against Iowa Wesleyan College. The Griffins take on the Tigers at 3pm in the Dunham Student Activity Center December 13th.
