St. Louis- A thrilling men's basketball game at MacMurray College ended in favor of the Highlanders last night. Twenty-one team leads were exchanged throughout the game with 14 ties and only seven points being the largest lead of the night.
MacMurray had 17 second-chance points compared to the Griffins' nine. The Griffins' field goal and three-point shooting percentages were better than MacMurray's, however the Highlanders out-rebounded Fontbonne 41-29. Still a tight game down the last minute stretch, MacMurray held on for the 78-72 win.
Darius Rucker scored the game-high 21 points while also contributing with 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the year. Rucker was 8-15 from the field. Kody Ettinger scored 16 points off the bench connecting on six of 13 attempts from the field. Richard Dorhauer was the final Griffin scoring in double-digits (12).
Cole Busch posted a double-double for MacMurray with 12 rebounds and 10 points. Spencer Pratt scored the Highlander's team-high 18 points.
