Greenlee named SLIAC Newcomer of the Year; Gentry receives Honorable Mention Team honors

St. Louis- Fontbonne University freshman Jared Greenlee was named the 2012-2013 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Newcomer of the Year.

Greenlee, a 6'5 forward (Strafford, MO/Marshfield), led SLIAC newcomers finishing his first collegiate basketball season averaging 6.8 rebounds per game, and finished 2nd among SLIAC newcomers scoring an 11.5 PPG average.

On the year, Greenlee averaged 52.2 FG%, and accumulated 28 offensive rebounds, 80 defensive rebounds, 22 steals, and 9 blocks.

Sophomore Greg Gentry was selected to the 2012-2013 SLIAC Honorable Mention Team. Gentry led the SLIAC in assists per game with 5 and totaled 85 assists against conference opponents. Gentry finished his season with 124 overall assists.

Fontbonne finished the season 8-17 overall and 6-10 in SLIAC play.
