A Look At The Griffins
- The team is coming off a weekend series win against Eureka. The Griffins took game one 5-0 but fell 11-5 in the nightcap. On Sunday, the team pulled away for the 14-7 win.
- In the series, the Griffins batted .265 and were led by Tyler Grimes' .571 average. Matt Tossick ended with a .400 clip, while Jonathan Hoevelmann batted .308, to go along with his grand slam in game three and seven RBI.
- In game two against the Red Devils, Hoevelmann became the single-season leader at Fontbonne in stolen bases with 26.
- On the rubber, the staff finished with a 6.38 ERA. Luke Summers picked up his sixth win on the year after striking out 11 in the game one shutout win.
- His win over the Red Devils tied the all-time record at Fontbonne with 17 and his 11-strikeout performance put him at 202 in his three seasons which is tops all-time.
