St. Louis- Fontbonne University baseball's offense lit up last night defeating the Principia College Panthers 19-1 and 31-1.The Griffins are 16-19 so far this season with a 12-7 conference record.
During the first game, Rob Berger, Jesse Schott, and Alex Roedner each hit a homerun. Logan Gill and Josh Taylor both recorded doubles.
Cale Laughlin recorded the win, allowing five hits and striking out six in five innings of work.
Schott, Taylor and Ryan Kasting went long in the 2nd game. Sean Fisher recorded the only triple during the doubleheader. Berger, Fisher, Tanner Carter and Connor Hanley each hit doubles to propel the offensive explosion.
Cory Royer got the win. Fontbonne ended the night with 35 hits all together.
