Women's Cross Country Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors With Its Highest GPA In Country

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) released the All-Academic Teams and the Griffins women's cross country team picked up the honor.

In order to qualify for this award, teams had to have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 or better and compile a team score at an NCCA Regional Meet. Overall, 388 teams were honored by the USTFCCA today, 221 of those were women's programs and 167 of them were men's.

Fontbonne, which had a team grade point average of 3.59 last season, upped it to 3.94 this year and that was tops in the country.

The Griffins were also joined by Greenville (3.83), Principia (3.68), Webster (3.39) and Westminster (3.1) to represent the SLIAC.
