St. Louis- Fontbonne University women's lacrosse fell to Midwest Division III Rhodes College on Saturday 18-6. The Griffins accomplished many team goals during the game, preparing for their first conference game in two weeks.
After trailing 3-15 at halftime, the Griffins held Rhodes to just three goals during the second half while scoring three more goals themselves.
Fontbonne freshman Taylor McGowen scored two goals on three shots in her collegiate scoring debut, with senior Tierney O'Brien scoring twice as well. Freshman Kelly Mundwiller put the first goal in the back of the neck with Sarah Blasko scoring her only attempt on the afternoon.
Fontbonne travels to Carthage College and Concordia-Wisconsin in two weeks for their conference debut.
