Three Griffins Compete At The Falcon Finale On Friday

MONTEVALLO, Ala.— The trio of Katie Gosser, Emily Bay, and Colleen Gosser competed this afternoon in the Heptathlon at the Falcon Finale down in Alabama.

In the first event, they took part in the 100-meter hurdles. K. Gosser led with a fourth place finish after crossing at 19.94. Bay followed with a time of 21.02, while C. Gosser finished in sixth at 23.54.

The next event was the high jump and K. Gosser cleared 1.34 m for fourth place. Bay also joined her in fourth place and that mark is a new personal-best. C. Gosser, meanwhile, leaped over 1.19 m for sixth.

In the shot put, Bay hit another personal-record of 9.72 m for third. K. Gosser also set a personal-record of 9.33 m, while C. Gosser ended with a toss of 6.88 m.

The team closed out its day in the 200-meter dash and K. Gosser just missed her personal-record of 28.30 as she timed out at 28.41. Bay finished in fifth at 30.57, while C. Gosser was right behind her at 30.68.

The Griffins close out the Falcon Classic tomorrow afternoon with three more events.
