Griffins Fall to MSJ Opening Day

St. Louis, Mo.- With a tied 0-0 game with 5:05 left in the first half, the Griffins' game against Mount St. Joseph University (MSJ) was called off due to lightning delays on Friday night. The game was rescheduled for Saturday morning where MSJ scored the game-winning goal just 30 seconds into the second half.

The Griffins rattled off 13 unsuccessful shots as they fell 1-0. Each team received one yellow card in the second half. MSJ recorded 11 fouls with Fontbonne adding another nine.

Fontbonne hosts Nebraska Wesleyan at Gay Field for their home opener on Satuday, September 6th at 1pm. Sunday the Griffins return to Centene Stadium to take on Wartburg, again at 1pm.
