Men's soccer puts five on SLIAC All-Conference teams

The Fontbonne University men's soccer team recently had five players selected to St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) All-Conference teams.

Fontbonne senior Charlie Chafin and junior Joe Tibbles were named to the SLIAC First Team All-Conference. Chafin finished the season with five goals and five assists for 15 points. He was also named to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team. Tibbles had a team-high five assists in eight SLIAC games.

Fontbonne sophomore Tim Menzel and junior Josh Schulz were both selected to the SLIAC Second Team All-Conference. Menzel led the team in points during the SLIAC games with five goals and two assists in 8 conference games. He finished the season with six goals and three assists overall. Schulz led the team in scoring this season with nine goals and six assists for 24 points.

Griffins junior defensive midfielder Zach Schucardt earned SLIAC Honorable Mention All-Confernece honors. Fontbonne junior Ryan Essenpreiss was named to the SLIAC All-Tournament Team.
