Andrew Gomez enters his first year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Fontbonne University.
Prior to joining FBU, Gomez spent last year at Austin Peay University, a Division I school in the Ohio Valley Conference. He started his internship there helping provide medical coverage to the football team during summer camp and primarily took care of the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, along with the Women’s Track and Field teams where he was a Volunteer Throws Coach.
Before joining Austin Peay, Gomez was a student at Saint Louis University where he earned his Master’s degree in Athletic Training (2016) and his BSES (2015). He was also a part of the SLU Men’s Track and Field Team from 2010-13.
His clinical rotations while in school, included, Althoff Catholic High School and Lindenwood University-Belleville. In his last year of school at SLU, he spent it at Fontbonne.
He’s a graduate of St. Charles East High School where he was a member of the Football, Men’s Volleyball and Track and Field Teams.
